Question from one of my Blogging 101 students today:

Answer:

You can give them the URL (Web address) for the blog.
If you create a Blogger account it would be:

http://yourusername.blogspot.com

and for WordPress account it would be:

http://yourusername.wordpress.com

where “username” would be the username you used to setup the account.

If you have a domain name, e,g, yourdomain.com, you can set it up and point it to the blog so users can go to www.yourdomainname.com and visit your blog.

If you blog is hosted on it’s own server (eg. like HostGator) you can use your domain name for the site, www.yourdomain.com or www.yourdomain.com/blog or any combination you like around the domain name, AND you can have all standard Web site features included such as full domain e-mail accounts (anything@yourdomain.com), message boards, etc.
